Last week, the Wyoming Rare USA team hosted US EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin, Region 8 Administrator Cyrus Western, at the Cowboy State Mine at Halleck Creek. The team showcased the on-going developments at site, including the Cowboy State Mine test mining, and highlighted the potential of our project to become the next producing rare earths mine in the United States—helping to secure a vital domestic supply chain for manufacturing, defense, and innovation.
Who is the EPA Administrator? The administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency is the head of the United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and is thus the apex of environmental regulation at the federal level. The administrator is nominated by the President and must be confirmed by a vote of the Senate. The administrator of the EPA is accorded a cabinet rank by the President. Prior to being appointed by President Trump to EPA Administrator, Lee Zeldin was a congressman from New York State. Mr. Zeldin is the 17th Administrator of the EPA.
